But then, I stumbled upon Let's Dance Miami, and everything changed. It wasn't the dance lessons themselves that I started paying for - it was the moments that came with it.
I pay for the moments when I hold my wife in my arms, watching her smile uncontrollably back at me. I pay for the moments that make me forget about the stress of my hectic work schedule. I pay for the time spent with friends who have become an integral part of my life. I pay for a fun and active lifestyle that makes me feel less guilty about skipping the gym - again. I pay for the moments that remind me that success requires hard work and dedication. I pay for the sense of accomplishment that comes with every performance and check-out. I pay for the moments of frustration and disappointment that drive me to work harder. I pay for the reminders that success does not happen overnight. I pay for the moments when I feel confident in my own skin. I pay for the moments when I can take the dance floor with my daughter at her wedding and make her proud. I pay for the times when I don't turn down party invitations because I'm no longer scared of being asked to dance. I pay for the memories I have made and will continue to make with my wife, my friends, and the people who I have come to know as my Let's Dance Miami family.
I don't pay for dance itself, but for the numerous benefits it brings me. Dancing makes me happier, stronger, more confident and determined, less stressed, and healthier. Additionally, I have formed lifelong friendships through dancing. Based on my experience, I believe it is a worthwhile investment.
